Animal Health, Nutrition and Technology Innovation Europe is the sectors’ premier innovation summit, showcasing the most exciting emerging companies and connecting them with investors and strategic partners.  The mission is to engage all key participants in the value chain so we can address the full scope of how animal health impacts pet owners, veterinarians and farmers today.  It will take place this year in London between 6-8 March 2023.

Dyneval is delighted to be joined by Sabine Koelle, Full Professor of Anatomy and Developmental Biology at the School of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the University College Dublin, who will co-host this session.   Having received her habilitation in the Institute of Veterinary Anatomy Histology and Embryology at the Veterinary School of the University of Munich, Sabine has had a prestigious and global career, having held positions at the University of Giessen and University of Vienna, received scholarships to work at Cornell University and Texas A&M University, USA and worked as visiting professor in France, Argentina, Spain, Hungary, Italy and Australia.   She is recognised internationally for the insights generated through her novel, cutting-edge technologies for 3D high-resolution and high-speed tracking of sperm in the female genital tract, which have helped gain a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic interplay affecting sperm motility, behaviour and survival.

Dyneval’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Tiffany Wood, will invite discussion around how the Sustained Motility Lifetime (SML) can be used to inform new insights and better protocols for quality control and farm management to improve conception rates.  Available only when performing time-dependent measurements with the automated Dynescan Semen Analyser, the SML is the time at which the % progressive motility of a semen sample falls to 50% of its original value.   Measurements from AI tanks on farm show this varies considerably from 45 minutes to over 6 hours.
